If you are 18 to 28 years old and reading this, here is your chance to fix national debt and have fun at the same time.  mtvU (the college-oriented division of MTV) has extended the deadline for their video game design contest called InDebted.  Its open til mid-January.  Game on, people.  And give us a CONTRA CODE for blasting the national debt to oblivion!!!

After, well ZERO headaches, my upgrade to the latest version of WordPress is complete.  All it took was 1 click, thanks to hostican.com.  They have been my host of choice ever since the birth of this website.  And even though the belly-button scar isn’t even healed yet, this newborn site fully endorses hostican.com and their staff. 

Can I navigate the root directory of my site; FTP back and forth; dip into the log files…?  -Sure.  But whenever I have a problem, large or small:  They help quickly, kindly, fully.  Consider hostican.com for your WordPress needs, or any hosting needs you have.    (And if you buy from my link, I get like 1/2 a shekel.  So there’s that…)

• Lots of acronyms, lots of coffee, and lots of participants at Wordcamp this morning.  Hope that the Dunkin Donuts in the corner don’t cause me to ‘muffin top out of these pants’ before lunchtime. (Yes:  I did hear a guy at work  say that he has muffin-topped out of his pants.) 
  It was a special kind of LOL. 

1pm: 

• Captains Blog; supplemental:  Well, it’s after 1pm.  Lunch came and went, and Elevator Guy is finally liberated.  Yes:  someone was stuck in an elevator here in the Observer building for 1.5 hours. (Elevator Guy identified: Kevin Lock, http://twitter.com/UTKevDawg)
